So after the weekend came and went, Sunday I discovered that I'd picked up more than a chill at the Stamps and Tiger-Cats game last Saturday...I've also picked up some kind of flu that makes me dizzy and makes my insides sounds like some kind of rusty clockwork device. To say I've been feeling like shit is a bit of an understatement. I just hope it isn't swine flu, lol.
Consequently, little work has happened on my novel. The proof for Shadows of the Emerald City revealed a few little typos and stuff that we're taking care of, but everything looks like roses for the October 15th release. For those of you who are members of the NFP Facebook page, expect something new coming very soon! As promised, I'll be announcing it a week earlier on the FB Fan page before it goes out through the usual channels. If you haven't invited your friends yet, you'll be doing them a favour if you sign them up!
Winter is coming. I can't shake the feeling that THIS is the year my accident streak comes to an end. I just have to remember to drive slow out there. Get out and push if I have too, lol.
The Flames are looking good this year! And not just because they are wearing the old school jerseys from back in the Stanley Cup days. I'm talking about 3 wins in a row to start the season! That, coupled with a Steelers win this week, made for some pretty good sports watching over the weekend. The only bad thing: BRETT FAVRE!!! I swear to Gawd I'm gonna pop my ears with broken pencils if I have to sit through another Monday Night Love fest...Any of you who saw it will know exactly what I mean.
Underscoring a fantastic tilt between the Packers and the Vikings was this ridiculous commentary crew where EVERYTHING THEY SAID was about Brett Favre. I hated the Packers when he was a yellow and green man, and unfortunately now it looks like I'll have to hate the Vikings too. Aaron Rodgers looked great, by the way. Green Bay made the right decision. Don't let those kids in Minne tell you otherwise!

I will agree with you on the anti-Favre thing. I haven't been able to turn on local news for months without hearing about that guy. And seriously, what a diva! Since his retire-unretire-retire streak began, the only NFL-related thing I hate more than Favre is the Vikings, so it's only fitting that they should join forces.
Oh, yeah, and I can't wait until the 15th. :D
Argh! tell me about it. I'll be so happy when he DOES retire once and for all.
